Darkpurple – or “DP” as many call her – is very peaceful and kind person. Her (almost) unlimited patience and calm comes handy not only in everyday life dealing with other people but also in her favorite profession; fishing. Nothing beats relaxing fishing at Moonglade and then cooking
Nightfin Soup for your friends.

Road to what she is now has been long and eventful. From Molten Core and fall of Ragnaros, trough the Black Temple and death of Illidan the Betrayer, and now descending into madness of Ulduar to face Yogg-Saron.

Whatever future holds there is still plenty of strength and will left to face it with a smile on her face.

Behind the scenes:

DP made her first appearance in the vanilla WoW beta and later with retail version rolling out I re-created her just as she was in beta. Class choise was pretty obvious to me. Druid seemed a very versatile character and I knew I’d find one playstyle – or spec as I’d nowadays call it – I would like. Speaking of spec, I was balance in beta and balance in retail. Aah those where good times the early levels. 2x Starfire -> Moonfire -> melee! Yes good melee weapon was handy for finishing mobs.

Later when I actually started doing instances/raids I was a healer every time and the tought of actually doing DPS in groups did not even cross my mind for a very long time. When I had been 60 for quite a while and got some loot from Molten Core, Blackwing Lair etc. I started DPSing on battlegrounds. And I did that A LOT. Enjoyed it too. I remember when I eventually had made some contacts with other players I would get an invite to a premade just few seconds after logging in. Then came Burning Crusade and all changed. Making balance druid a viable dps in PvE was pretty much a dream come true. My PvP as druid stopped there though.

Now we’re at Wrath of the Lich King and I’m currently working on Yogg-Saron in 25man Ulduar. I am still enjoying my druid but what I am not enjoying is the actual casting rotation. Oh Eclipse how I hate thee and thy un-prociness. But then again I should just shut up and be happy.. things used to be a lot worse back in the days. Mmmyeah.. let’s not go there.

Verikuu is a warrior to the heart. She loves the thrill of combat. She knows no fear, never backing out of fight she always charges in no matter how many opponents there are. This means she’s a regular sight near a spirit healer but it doesn’t bother her. After ressing up she’s always up for round two. Taking at least one opponent down every time she charges in before getting overwhelmed is an acceptable trade off.

Behind the scenes:

Verikuu (Finnish: Bloodmoon) is my very first alt. I leveled her as fury up to 50ish and then the boredom hit me and I did not play her for quite a while. Eventually, at the end part of vanilla, when I did get back to her I leveled to 60 and started doing PvP. I had never tried any other class than druid so warrior was very interesting change of pace. In addition to PvP I also tanked a bit in the old small instances like Stratholme, Scholomance, UBRS.. as fury ofc. Then came Burning Crusade and I left her for quite a while again.

Once it came time for alts again I got her up to 70 and started doing PvP with occasional heroic added to the mix. PvP however is what I enjoy most. In vanilla I did it as fury but arms was the choise now. Man I loved it. Very fast paced fighting charging in to bring havoc was so much fun. Ok the reckless playstyle got me killed more than I can remember but aah how fun it was.

In WotLK she was second character I got up to 80 after druid but I haven’t quite got into playing. Done some PvP but for some reason it has not gripped me same way it used to. Maybe later.. expansion is still young.

Loves: reading

Unlike many other warlocks Savra is very careful and patient when bending the fel energies to her will. Every spell she is going to use needs to be thoroughly studied first. She knows very well that lack of focus can cause spell to easily backfire, or poorly drawn summoning circle turn you into servant and demon to master.

On the outside Savra might seem a harmless bookworm but once she unleashes her powers there is no escape or mercy to anyone who steps on her way. Savra’s spells of choise are from the slowly devouring affliction magic. Watching her enemies perish on agonising pain is kinda like a good book slowly unfolding.

Behind the scenes:

Savra has history like any other of my characters. First she was a mage and I leveled her up to 30s until I got bored, deleted her and remade as a warlock, remade as a mage again, got bored and went for a warlock yet again – this time all the way and I have enjoyed every bit of it.

I started out as affliction and intended to go destruction after reaching level cap – this was during Burning Crusade. However as I leveled I got really fond of the spec and sticked to affliction. What made it so much fun was the rather complex casting rotation. There was always room for improvement when trying to perfect it and the actual rotation felt very alive – unlike my main for example who at the time was very straight forward.

WotLK was only few months away though and I did not get much experience in instances. Some heroics and Karazhan. In WotLK she was 3rd character I leveled up and I’ve done some 10man Naxxramas and 5man heroics. Casting rotation did get some “nerfs” but I think it’s still fun and rewarding.

What comes to other specs I’ve tried Destruction PvP spec a little and enjoyed it. However at the moment I got no interest in long term PvP so haven’t really got into it very deeply. Demonology is something I stay away from completely. Ugh.. I don’t like the idea of pet doing the work for me or having to micro manage the pet. Is it really like that.. well I can’t say for 100% but that’s what it sounds like.

Name: Siouxsie

Siouxsie is not the most social type, she keeps to herself and avoids all contact with others if possible. This does not mean she would be unfriendly towards others when interacting, quite the opposite. She is very friendly and kind but prefers being alone.

Instead of ganking people at Icecrown she is most likely lying down somewhere high with a beautiful view, focused on her wandering thoughts. Despite her peaceful nature she can defend herself very well and take offensive when needed.

Behind the scenes:

Siouxsie is my second high level horde. First I was leveling a horde rogue on Twilight’s Hammer but then decided to scrap it and start over at Zenedar so I could play with a friend of mine. I am not very fond of PvP servers.. I like to quest in peace and leave the PvP aspect to battlegrounds. If people would have some sense of honor and not attack only when they got gazillion more levels than you do then maybe.. oh well.

What I like on playing horde is that I am not so familiar with the quests. I got 8 high level Alliance and only 2 Horde so the Horde side has some fresh feeling to it.

This character was made solely for PvP and I don’t think I will ever try any PvE on her – got Alliance rogue for that if I someday feel like it. After reaching level cap I experimented a bit with different specs and ended up going with Mutilate. I think it’s nicely balanced spec and I am familiar with it from the past playing my Alliance rogue during Burning Crusade.

Heh, sorry I have to advertise a little. The name Siouxsie and the guild I made for her, The Banshees, is tribute to one of my favorite bands – Siouxsie and the Banshees. Good music – recommend checking out.
